Victor Dimoulis also actively participated during the main phase of ICC 1.0 where he was appointed as Assistant Project Manager of the local ICC team of Corfu.
Through this specific position, among other responsibilities, he took care of and participated in the planning and implementation of the obligations of the Municipality of Central Corfu and Diapontia Islands in relation to the axes it had been declared within the programme and mainly in relation to its two primary objectives. According to the participation application submitted by the Municipality, in order of priority, the axes of its participation were:
1. Waste management and circular economy
2. eGovernment and digitising public services
3. Smart and green mobility and transport
4. Scaling up renewable energy solutions and energy-efficiency
The successes that the local ICC 1.0 team had to present, always in collaboration with the competent Service and Deputy Mayor, regarding "Waste Management and Circular Economy" which were based on the work of Victor Dimoulis, are the following:

RELATED RECYCLING – SEPARATE WASTE COLLECTION ACTIONS
1. Pay As You Throw
Proposal and assistance for the submission of a participation file in the pilot programme "Pay As You Throw".
2. Smart Waste Management
Proposal to improve the current form of waste collection and upgrade it to "smart waste management" to create optimal routes, with the development of a network of smart sensors in as many bins as possible and the corresponding placement of sensors and GPS trackers on the Municipality's waste trucks.
3. Climathon
Proposal for the organization, in collaboration with other agencies, of the first “Climathon” in the island's history in 2020, while 2022 was the second year it was organized to raise public awareness about the Circular Economy and Climate Change.
Proposal for the participation of the Municipality of Central Corfu and Diapontia Islands for the first time in the history of the island in the European Week for Waste Reduction of 2020, while it was repeated again in 2022.
5. Blue Municipalities Network
Proposal for the participation of the Municipality of Central Corfu and Diapontia Islands, as a founding member, in the "Blue Municipalities Network" which focuses its activities on the protection of the marine environment.
6. MedfreeSUP
Proposal for the participation of the Municipality of Central Corfu and Diapontia Islands in the research project MEDfreeSUP which focused on the elimination of single-use plastics (Single Use Plastic) in coastal and island areas of the Mediterranean.
7. Covenant of Mayors
Proposal for the participation of the Municipality of Central Corfu and Diapontia Islands and the signing of the "Covenant of Mayors for Climate and Energy".
