Proposal for participation in the "Novoville" citizen request management digital platform which is a direct and two-way digital communication channel between citizens and the Municipality.
From 2020 until today, almost 14,500 citizens' requests have already been served, through the "Novoville" platform from the internet or their mobile phone, helping to better organize the services of the Municipality and proving the usefulness of technology in the modern era.
3. Smart Waste Collection Management
Proposal to improve the current form of waste collection and upgrade it to "smart waste collection management" through the design of optimal routes, by deploying a network of smart sensors in as many bins as possible to monitor their condition and fullness and place them accordingly sensors and GPS trackers on the Municipality's garbage trucks, so that apart from the Service, citizens also know when the garbage trucks will be near their area so that they can drop off their separated waste in time.
Through this option, the Municipality will be able to achieve:
α) a) more efficient waste collection for all the waste streams (such as recyclables, organic waste, mixed waste, etc.) based on improved provision of quality data and
β) b) further reduction of the total carbon footprint of the Municipality due to the lower exhaust gas emissions from its garbage trucks from the optimized routes they will follow.
