Regarding the August 3, 2023 announcement of my candidacy as Regional Councilor in the Local Government Elections 2023 with the combination «ΙΟΝΙΟ ΔΥΝΑΤΑ! Κάθε νησί ψηλά» led by Mrs. Rodi Kratsa - Tsagaropoulou. , present Regional Governor of the Ionian Islands.

"My dear all... I would like to share with you with joy but also creative anxiety a piece of important news, which those with whom we have come closer in our daily life, know that it is a personal transcendence.

I always try as a person because I have been raised that way to act after very good study and persistent meaningful research. I do not allow myself, under any circumstances, to take lightly or "play" with my decisions because they have an impact on the people around me... and if they end up being negative, it is not acceptable to me in any way.

That's why I focus mainly on the subjects that I know ... and on what I don't know ... I make sure, as I mentioned above, to study hard and then give my opinion.
For those of you I have crossed paths with at some point, please know that once again, I have never served "evil" or dishonesty, but always served "good" or even created it from scratch on several occasions that did not exist until the moment.

So, taking another step forward (as I believe that each and every one of us should do now... if he/she feels that he/she can contribute substantially to his/her region) I announce to you my candidacy in the upcoming Regional Elections, with the combination συνδυασμό «ΙΟΝΙΟ ΔΥΝΑΤΑ! Κάθε νησί ψηλά» led by Mrs. Rodi Kratsa-Tsagaropoulou, current Regional Governor of the Ionian Islands, accepting the honorary proposal she made to me.

We agreed that the Region of the Ionian Islands, despite the efforts made in the current and in every respect special Local-Governing period (shorter term, 2+ years of the COVID-19 pandemic, etc.) still needs to take several substantial steps forward for " green" and its "digital" transformation.

The Regional Authority of Ionian Islands needs to act more to serve its obligation to the European Green Deal and to ensure in every way the protection of the natural beauty of the Ionian Islands but also to proceed with the necessary digitization of the Public Administration so that it becomes even closer and easier for the citizens.

I, therefore, declare my presence in the Regional Elections in October 2023, now claiming the responsibility that comes with such a decision but also for all those decisions that will need to be taken until 2028 for the unique in every respect "our neighborhood", the region of Ionian Islands.

P.S.1 Good luck to all the co-candidates from whatever party they come from and let's choose our words and keep our morals to those levels of courtesy that we want and should characterize each of us and all the inhabitants of the Ionian Islands!!!
